Beat 2 eggs with butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar until light. Mix in flour, baking powder, salt, coriander, cardamom, and lemon peel. Mix thoroghly and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Turn out on floured board. Roll 1/2-inch thick and cut into strips 1 1/2-inch wide. Press groove down middle. Transger to greased cookie sheet. Pipe strip of jelly into groove with decorator.
Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Brush with remaining egg and 1/2 cup sugar. Sprinkle with almonds and bake for 5 minutes more.
Cut into 1/2-inch diagonal bars.
